Rescaling of Nuclear Structure Functions
It is shown that nucleonic structure functions are x− and Q 2 −rescaled in nuclei. The x−rescaling accounts for nuclear effects in the case of exact scaling, while the Q 2 −rescaling is responsible for a corresponding modification of quantum corrections. This result is obtained in the leading order for all flavour combinations and connects the two known models for the EMC-effect. Electroproduct...
متن کاملNuclear Effects in Neutrino Structure Functions
We discuss calculation of nuclear corrections to the structure functions for the deepinelastic scattering of muon and (anti)neutrino. Our approach includes a QCD description of the nucleon structure functions as well as the treatment of Fermi motion and nuclear binding, off-shell correction to bound nucleon structure functions, nuclear pion excess and nuclear shadowing. We emphasize the depende...
متن کاملGlobal Study of Nuclear Structure Functions
We present the results of a phenomenological study of unpolarized nuclear structure functions for a wide kinematical region of x and Q2. As a basis of our phenomenology we develop a model which takes into account a number of different nuclear effects including nuclear shadowing, Fermi motion and nuclear binding, nuclear pions and off-shell correction to bound nucleon structure functions. Within...
متن کاملFrom RHIC to EIC: Nuclear Structure Functions
We study the nuclear structure function FA 2 and its logarithmic derivative in the high energy limit (small x region) using the Color Glass Condensate formalism. In this limit the structure function F2 depends on the quark anti-quark dipole-target scattering cross section NF (xbj , rt, bt). The same dipole cross section appears in single hadron and hadron-photon production cross sections in the...
متن کاملNuclear Structure Functions and Cumulative Processes
The authors’s point of view, based on QCD, on the nuclear quark structure is presented. Different models for explaining the EMC–effect are considered. It is also shown that cumulative production data are very useful for a better understanding of the EMC–effect and give some evidence in favor of its multiquark nature. Discovery of the EMC–effect [2] has drawn attention of the world–wide communit...
